Keefer Road Cave, Washington County

Geology:
A half dozen openings occur in the cliff face along Licking Creek directly under the I-70 bridge. These caves are in horizontally-bedded Helderberg Limestone.
Description:
These caves are either narrow fissure or low crawlways which are developed along joints trending to the southwest. None can be followed by further than 20 feet, due to the narrowing of the passage.
